During-work independence prompts

Track the executive-function skills that actually drive independence: started work without a second prompt, stayed on the assigned task, asked for clarification when stuck, used my checklist. Phrase each as something the student can confirm did or did not happen, not as a judgment about being good.

End-of-class follow-through prompts

Close with prompts like assignment submitted, homework recorded, materials packed, requested support when I needed it. These capture the follow-through that often breaks down for students with organization goals, and they give the student a clear finish line to rate against.

Pair self-ratings with an adult check-in
